Despite getting crused 13-5 the first game of the series to the worst team in b
aseball, the Washington Nationals-the Cubs rebounded to win the series and mant
ain a 4.5 game lead over the pesky Milwaukee Brewers. Thanks to two dominating
performances by aces Ryan Dempster and Rich Harden, the Cubs looked like the be
st team in the National league over the weekend.

Leading 4-0 on Friday, the wheels came off after Jason Marquis gave up a grands
lam to the power challenged Willie Harris. The Nationals took advantage of the
wind blowing out and the Cubs had no answer. Marquis was rolling right along
until the Nats put up a six spot in the sixth inning and continued his trend of
that one inning he just can't get out of.
