How to fix the Seattle Mariners for 2009 and beyond posted on 05/22/2008

Lets start this with the premise that the Mariners will are done for this year. Also they will sign Bedard to an extension that at the end of the 2009 season, at the same time Arian Beltre's contrat is up and wont be resigned. Free agents Richey Sexson, Jose Vidro and Raul Ibanez are not going to be resigned after the 2008 season. We are also going to go with a $120 million buget for 2009. Ok lets get to the nuts and bolts.
 
Step 1.  Send Bradon Morrow to the minors to get him ready to be a starting pitcher.
 
Step 2.  Recall Jeff Clement and make him your primary catcher, lets see him the whole year and see what we got.  In the mean time Kenji Johjima catches once a week only if when pitchers other than Bedard, Washburn or Felix is on the hill and the opposing pitcher is a left hander. Other wise he plays some first or dh.

How to trade J.Washburn posted on 05/22/2008
Maybe the mariners brass should take cashman and steinbrenner out for a nice dinner when they are in new york over the weekend, get them liquored up, and show them that jwashburn has a 2.49 era in 25.1 innings over the last 3 years in yankee stadium(which he actually does)..........hopefully they will return to seattle minus a $15 million left-handed starter.  Take Pavano off the Yanks hands, he is a free agent after this year.

Is there a team in baseball not named the New York Yankees who spend there money any worse?

Thankfully for all you Mariner fans, this will be the last year you will have to wittness sexson striking out and vidro hitting weak grounders to 2nd. Now will you please trade washburn and batista.

Can someone get me Mark Teixeira next year..maybe an Adam Dunn
