WEEK 5 FANTASY FOOTBALL PICKUPS

If your team is struggling or you are scrambling for someone after injuries to players such as Mendenhall or McGahee, you should look at this top pickups for week 5 to help your team get back on track.

  • WR Lance Moore or WR Robert Meacheum of NO Saints

With injuries to Shockey and Coltson, both of these players are now the receiving targets for Bree’s.

  • RB Le'Ron McClain Baltimore Ravens

Some are saying McGahee will be back this week, but he looked like he was really in pain after leaving the game against the Steelers.  Even the game he did start, McGahee looked like he was still hurt from the hamstring injury.  McClain has got a lot more looks lately and will get more as rookie QB Joe Flaco struggles.

  • RB Mewelde Moore Pittsburgh Steelers

How quickly life changes?  Just a couple of weeks ago Moore was the third string running back.  With Mendenhall out for the rest of the year and Parker out for a couple of more weeks,  Moore will get a lot of carries for an offense that already focuses on the running game.  With Big Ben still looking for his swagger, expect Moore to rush over 100 yards and a touchdown.

  • RB Rudi Johnson Detroit Lions

Johnson has been named first string running back.  Against the Bears, he should do well this week considering the Bears just came off a grudge match against the Eagles.

  • WR Kevin Walter Houston Texans

Even though Andre Johnson is considered number one WR, Walter managed to have more looks last week by catching two touchdowns.  With defenses overlooking Walter and a lingering injury to Johnson, Walter should get more looks.

  • WR Antonio Byrant Tampa Bucs

Byrant has become Jeff Garcia’s top target.
