ready have a club filled with All-Stars, but in a year or two a lot of the great young Cubs such as Soto and Theriot will be receiving the huge paychecks they deserve, considering they've been making league minimum so far in their careers. So, having an owner such as Cuban who is willing to throw money at the players would be great for the Cubs.

nts out here for which Cubs I think deserve to be on the All-Star team.  Soriano, Fukudome and Soto should all be voted in.  I think DeRosa may sneak on the team, not by voting but since 2B is a little weak this year and he has been solid.  Theriot deserves to be but I think SS is too deep for him to make it.  I would like to see Lee and Ramirez on but I think only Ramirez will get on.  As far as pitchers go I see Zamabrano and Dempster being locks to get on.  Marmol too I think is a good bet.  If Wood leads the league in saves by the break I think he will be too.  So in total I can see 9 cubs deserving to make it.  In reality I'm gonna 7 will:  Soriano, Fukudome,

Look at our starting lineup we have Soriano, Derosa, Lee, Ramirez, Fukudome, Theriot, Pie, and Soto.  This should be a lineup that should click on all cylinders.  It should be a different lineup than last year because in here we have more speed and more contact hitters.  Only problem is what will happen to Pie.  He seemed uncomforable everytime he stepped up to bat last year.  He seemed intimidated by every pitch that came by him.  Sure he can hit with the kids, but these are the big boys now.  He is the most piviotal part of this lineup for it to work.  The one problem Cubs hitters had last year was hitting runners in scoring position.  They were just horrible in doing so.  They did not go out and find that spark plug to help drive these runs in when it counted the most.  Sure the Cubs have a younger team on the field, but this will hurt them when they make their final push to the playoffs.
